Report on the 16th of May 2006
Once again the a night of cheers and fascinations as competitors, staff and sponsors came together once again to celebrate what has been fast but fruitful competition for the past 3 weeks. Till today not all of those who competitor in China for this competition has returned, however the first rounds of the competition has finished and now for the first time in some time now, all involved have a chance for some fresh air.
The Australian Chinese Performing Arts Association hosted a welcoming event for all on the 16th of May 2006, and was held at Kam Fook restaurant, Chatswood. The entire night can be well summarized into a couple of sentences, good food, good fun and one furthermore surprising element, a good host. This we believe was something that ACPAA wanted to showcase before the big event on the 3rd of next month, and that is its supporting personnel and other events that will also be held.
Every aspect of the big event has been fixed to professional levels, the floor experienced a flow of music from the competitors and even the quality of the host on the night brought everyone to laughter. A clear change in the competitors was clearly visible from the audience. They were no longer the young boys and girls that were picked from when this competition first started, they were now more experienced, and mature performers. Thus proving the long hours that has been put down by competitors is already starting to show returns.
From here, all attention is focused on the final showdown that is to take place on the 3rd of June. Work is starting to intensify in all circles involved and planning and practice will be essential to be able to keep the final event afloat. However, it is believed with all the years of experience that is linked to its success, ACPAA will be able to deliver its best event yet.
