The River, just like a mother, feeds the Chinese nation with her broad breasts. She has experienced so many vicissitudes and suffered from so many tortures and hardships. Angry waves surge from the Mother River, which is a great call of inspiration to her children as well as an echo of unswerving and unyielding cries. That is a song of praise uttered by the heroic sons and daughters of the Chinese nation. + La Bayadere Performed by: Fu Shu, Wang Zhiwei Story:

The La Bayadere is the most entertaining dance drama choreographed by the famous ballet master Peptipa. It is the typical example of the graceful and elegant ballet style of the 19th century. Act 3 of the drama is the classic part of the performance, which describes the dream-like scenes of the “phantom kingdom” where Solor and La Bayadere met each other. + The Butterfly Lovers Performed by: Tong Shusheng, Chao Lemeng, Su Hong, etc. Story: The story for the dance drama of The Butterfly Lovers is originated in the folk tale, which portrays the heartbreaking romance between the two lovers of Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai. Zhu Yingtai, the daughter in a well-off family, went to school in disguise of a boy, and acquainted with Liang Shanbo who was from a plain family. They lived and studied together for three years, and forged profound friendship. Yingtai revealed her true identity and the two persons fell in love with each other. However, the father of Yingtai promised the marriage of his daughter to Ma Wencai, the son of a local high official. The two lovers met again at a pavilion to express their helplessness and deep sorrow. The true feelings of the two lovers deeply touched the heaven and earth! They were both turned into butterflies after their deaths that fly freely and merrily in the blossoming flowers.
