Review: On the ACPAA's invitation, 32 members of the Yunnan Red River performing troupe arrived at beautiful Australia in September 18, 2004. Together with the Chinese performers in Sydney, they celebrated 55th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China held in Australia and the Chinese Culture Festival. The performance of the Yunnan performing troupe is a collection of 25 national minorities’ artistic essence. The audience has had a chance to know more about the minorities’ natural lifestyle and their religious belief, their worship ceremonies, national festivals and totem worships, their traditional customs, songs and dance. Yunnan performing troupe has visited over 30 countries and regions and their excellent performance has won a dozen of prizes and awards in many important national and international competitions. Among their works, “The Cheerful Water-sprinkling Festival” and “Young guys, four string musical Instrument and Silk tree” had the honor to receive the gold medal in the April Spring Friendship International Art Festival in North Korea
