Australian Chinese Performing Artists’ Association was found in 24th August, 1990. The Australian government officially registered it as a non-profit and cultural organization. Its main function is to introduce to Australian audience the Chinese performing arts productions at a range of free and low cost performances. Where possible it seeks to engage members of other ethnic communities in the productions in order to promote harmonious community relations.
Review: In the evening of 24th August 1990 at the Royal Garden Chinese Restaurant held a warm inaugural ceremony to celebrate the establishment of the ACPAA. The guests were: Mr Hos Xinzhou, Miss Shen Huixia, mayor Zeng Xiao Long, Chairman Fang Ching-wu, director Yang Hanyong , JIANG Zhi, on behalf of the overseas Chinese representatives in Sydney, the media and so on.
