2009 <Imperial Splendour> Li Yugang Sydney Opera House Concert

Invited by the ACPAA, played in the Sydney opera house on the 28th of July. The show featured the famous Chinese opera arties Mr.lee Yu Gang who demonstrate his many talents which include singing and dancing. But what’s more amazing is he performed in both a male and female part. His voice melted the heart of the crowd when he starts to play the female part of the show.

With the help of makeup and costumes, the audiences could not believe their eyes. Joined by the dancers from the Chinese National opera and Dance Company, this splendored performance truly demonstrated the art of Chinese opera. Many VIP attained the show include the consulate general of the People’s Republic of China in Sydney. With the full house audiences and the show dawn to a end.

It marks the start of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the people’s republic of china. However, the wonderful act of Chinese Opera and Dance Drama Company also shows the highest level of Chinese arts association. The Chinese consulate-General in Sydney Mr. Hu Shan and assistant director Li Yanduan, Zhao Xuefeng, and Chu guoqing, Lin Wenzeng, Li Jiangang, Bai Gang, and Wang Guozhong watched the show and congratulate the success.

‘Imperial Splendour’ start the series activities which held for celebrate China’s 60th birthday. The hosts of ‘Imperial Splendour’ are Xu Gehui and Tang. At that night, Sydney Opera House was full of people. This is a meticulously prepared performance and it brings people the enjoyment of a high level acting. Therefore, it contributes to the promotion of the Chinese traditional culture to international stage. The show is based on the traditional music and combines the modern noble and graceful factors. Under the stage light and setting design, it looks like a whole splashed-ink landscape picture. Also, it looks like a costume play which is beautiful and make the audients be lost in wild and fanciful thoughts.

Li Yugang can perform the woman’s gentle and lovely, man’s manhood; do these jobs with skill and ease. The audiences are revel in the arts space which is enjoyed by the refined and vulgar alike. After the performance, most of the audiences were loath to leave, and try to move close to Li and Li bow to audiences in response. Moreover, Chinese Operate and Dance Drama Company did a great job either; they show the public high level arts performance with their dance and unique temperament. Ultimately, the ‘imperial splendour’ has a wonderful designed stage dance and image, it integrates the Chinese tradition arts characters and consummately illustrated, gorgeous, magnificent.
