2012 Sydney International Campus Arts Festival
12.8.2012
Jointly organised by the Australian Chinese Performing Artists’ Association (ACPAA) and the China Intangible Culture Heritage Association, the 2012 Sydney International Campus Arts Festival is a platform serving to both enrich multiculturalism as well as nurture young talents.
This year, the 40th anniversary of Sino-Australian diplomatic relations was a particular point for celebration, with the 2012 Sydney International Campus Arts Festival commencing on the 12th of August at the Sydney Opera House. The evening’s program encompassed performances of music, dance and drama performed not only by student groups who arrived from China, but also by several local Sydney-based groups as well. Under the banner of ‘cultural harmony’, the 2012 Sydney International Campus Arts Festival sought to promote cultural exchange and understanding between members of our future generations.
The Festival, which is under the ‘Cultural China’ enterprise has already been featured seven times at the Colden Hall in Vienna, twice in the United States at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, and also at the Maldives National Arts Centre. We welcomed it once again to the stage of the world renowned Sydney Opera House.
