CHO CHO Set to Premiere in Sydney

CHO CHO is a bilingual musical adaptation of the world-renowned 'Madame Butterfly' story. Featuring an all-star cast of critically acclaimed artists from both Australia and China, CHO CHO is set to commence its Sydney season in September, 2013.

Description
On a midsummer’s night, in a bustling 1930s Shanghai, a young woman is seen by the river, singing a soft lullaby to the young child she cradles in her arms. Three years prior, we are introduced to the beautiful 15 year old Cho Cho, a singer at the local Tea House. It was here where she caught the infatuation of American Lieutenant Pinkerton, who called her by the name of ‘Butterfly’. Now, with Pinkerton gone, this child remains the only token of her lost love.

A ship has been spotted in the harbour, but will it carry her love onboard?
