Chinese New Year Twilight Parade 2015

The Year of the Sheep

Sydney's Chinese New Year Festival has grown from a modest community street market in 1995 to become one of the largest Lunar New Year celebrations outside Asia. In the 16-day program includes performances, talks, tours, entertainment, installations, exhibitions and special one-off events celebrating the diverse cultures that observe Chinese New Year.

ACPAA as a Sydney local community was proud to participated in Chinese New Year  Parade, with striking "Culture of China, Huaxing Australia" banner to clear the way, followed by the 36 standard Huaxing Arts Groups formed flag, express blessing of the Chinese New Year.

The Chinese New Year provides opportunity for the display of traditional Asian talent from local performing arts organisations,  share the traditions of Chinese culture to The City of Sydney.  With a well-balanced cast, great artistic attainment and integrity of comprehensive arts, wonderfully enriching performances are produced. The Chinese New Year twilight parade has thus become an important symbol of Australia’s cultural diversity.       Photo Gallery
